My weekend

This is what my Sunday consisted of. Picked up this awesome bike. 71 police special. Spent all day working on it to get running and a little flavor. Here are pictures of when I got it working on it and finished for the day. This bike is going to be awesome.

Man I am not used to this shit!!! Plus a wind coming out of the north at 20 mph.. It is freezing right now I can't even think straight...

My Saturday

So the weather in vegas is awesome and it was a good day to ride. So off we went. We were headed to nipton for some tortilla wrapped burgers. Well I made it half way and the bike started pouring oil out of the breather. I knew it had to be the oil pump since I knew it wasn't the top end. Sure enough pulled the oil pump and this is what I found. The woodruff key came apart and cracked the gear which then mushroomed and then mushroomed the other gear which seized itself into the body of the oil pump. So the pan is in need of a new oil pump. How was your Saturday...

Long beach swap

Scored this awesome treasure at the long beach swap last weekend. Also got a nice bench top lathe and some lifter blocks. Not bad for the inaugural trip to the swap. For sure we will attend again.

Motor progress

Got the heads back today and the cases back yesterday. Got a few more small parts to order, bead blast and hot tank. Then we can begin reassembly. Man I cant wait this is gonna be fun..

Weekend

Oh boy it's going to be a good weekend. Lunch at the hat then yoshi's garage company. Then Long beach swap tomorrow.

If you don't know what the EDR is check yourself..

This bike has been on at least one EDR in its life and I think it is time for her to see mexico again with me in the pilot seat. The only problem is I sucked a ring coming back from SCR 2.

So it is a whole motor teardown all the way to the crank. Its going to be a 96" with all S&S internals and Branch Heads. Going to change a Few things while she is down as well.
